We met at Pfeiffer Beach an hour before sunset. The tide was right, the light was right, the beach was empty enough to feel private.
From there we drove down to Point Lobos for the back end of the day, when the sand catches pink and the marine layer comes in to flatten everything.
Next stop was Bixby Bridge, where the cliffs play harder shadows. Different mood entirely from the first spot.
Multi-location shoots are equal parts choreography and improvisation. We mapped the order in advance, but the actual frames came from being patient at each stop until the light cooperated.
Twelve months from now they'll point to one of these 113 frames and say "that's the one we put on the save-the-dates."
