Common pricing questions

How much does a proposal photographer cost?

With GoodEye, proposal photography runs $750 to $2,250 depending on three things: the collection you pick (how many edited photos you keep), where we shoot, and the day of the week. The Coastal Collection starts at $750, the Signature Collection (our most common pick) starts at $950, and the Full Collection with every edited photo starts at $1,350. The full breakdown is in the tables above.

When do we pay?

After the shoot, on the same day. There is no deposit and no payment to hold your date. We do all the planning and shooting first; you pay once we wrap.

Why does the location change the price?

Pricing follows drive time from our Santa Cruz home base. Santa Cruz spots cost the least; Carmel, Big Sur, Half Moon Bay, and San Francisco sit in the middle; Napa Valley, Bodega Bay, and Point Reyes are the longest haul, so they cost the most. Day of the week matters too, and that one is pure demand: nearly every couple wants a Fri-Sun sunset, and there are only so many of those in a season. Weekend dates are priced accordingly, which means a Mon-Th shoot is the easiest way to lower the price without changing anything else.

How much do engagement photos cost?

The same three collections cover engagement sessions and surprise proposals, so an engagement shoot runs $750 to $2,250 with us: $750 for the Coastal Collection, $950 for Signature (the most common pick), and $1,350 for the Full Collection with every edited photo. Where you land inside that depends on the spot and whether it's a Mon-Th or a Fri-Sun. No deposit, and you pay after the shoot rather than up front.

Do you shoot engagement sessions that aren't surprise proposals?

Absolutely. We photograph couples of every kind, whether you're newly dating or celebrating your 25th wedding anniversary; no ring required. The collections work the same way, and the fastest path to an exact quote for your spot and date is a quick 10-minute call.
