How it went
Vasona Park starts as a hike and ends as a viewpoint. We worked the open stretches where the trail meets the sky.
Two hours of slow walking and quiet direction. No awkward poses, no "say cheese," just a couple who like each other in a place that suited them. We rotated through a couple of micro-locations within the spot, picking up different angles as the sun moved.
Trail shoots take more out of you than the photos suggest. Half a mile of walking, a thousand feet of elevation, the right light at the right turn, and then it's over.
