How it went
The vineyards at Stag's Leap Winery hit their golden moment around late afternoon. We shot through rows of vines with the light slanting low and the leaves throwing color all over the frame.
Next stop was Golden Gate Overlook, hiking just far enough off the road to get the trail-edge views without anyone else in the frame.
Multi-location shoots are equal parts choreography and improvisation. We mapped the order in advance, but the actual frames came from being patient at each stop until the light cooperated.
Wine country engagements have a way of pacing themselves. Long afternoon, slow light, a couple at ease in a place built for unhurried.
