There's a window at Soberanes Trail between four and six in the afternoon where the cliffs catch direct light and the water turns deep teal. That's when we shot.

Next stop was Bixby Bridge, where the cliffs play harder shadows. Different mood entirely from the first spot.

We took the long route. Two-plus hours including driving — the kind of shoot where every location adds another color to the gallery.

The gallery came in at 49 edited frames. Sneak peeks went out same-night; the rest landed within the week. Big Sur keeps delivering this kind of session.
