An Evening in the City at San Francisco City Hall.

How it went

Urban light at San Francisco City Hall is all about timing. We worked the late-day windows when the sun catches one side of a facade and leaves the other in deep shade.

Most of what looks like "posing" was actually just walking, talking, and pausing when the light hit right. We work this way on every shoot; the couple barely notices the camera by the second pass.

City sessions have a rhythm. Architecture sets the scene, the couple sets the pace.

The shoot
The whole shoot, not just the highlights

Here’s a few highlights from this shoot. Most photographers only ever show a static portfolio of their very best images. I think every potential client should see more than that: the full shoots themselves. Nothing sets expectations like seeing multiple sessions at one location in different weather, times of day, and seasons. We get amazing photos no matter what, and we’re not afraid to show you.
