Panther Beach sits on cliffs that drop hundreds of feet straight into the Pacific. We worked in the last hour of sun, when the light wraps the rocks and the marine layer thins out at the horizon.
After that we headed under the trees at The Forest of Nisene Marks. Quieter air, filtered light, an entirely different character from the open coast.
Pacing was the hard part. Each spot got its own window, the light moved with us, and the drives between gave the couple time to reset and relax before the next backdrop.
Wind, height, the silence between waves. Cliff proposals stick, and not just because of the photos.
