How it went

Lighthouse Field is the kind of beach that doesn't fill up. We shot at the back end of the day, when the sand goes pink and the marine layer pulls in to soften everything.

Direction was minimal. A few prompts, a few suggestions for where to look or what to do with hands, then we got out of the way and let it happen. The best photos came from in-between moments.

Beach sessions have a way of making everyone slow down. Tide coming in, sun dropping, two people figuring out the next chapter together.

The shoot
The whole shoot, not just the highlights

Here’s a few highlights from this shoot. Most photographers only ever show a static portfolio of their very best images. I think every potential client should see more than that: the full shoots themselves. Nothing sets expectations like seeing multiple sessions at one location in different weather, times of day, and seasons. We get amazing photos no matter what, and we’re not afraid to show you.
