Redwoods at The Forest of Nisene Marks mean you slow down whether you wanted to or not. Quiet shoot, soft light, occasional creek murmur as background.
Two hours of slow walking and quiet direction. No awkward poses, no "say cheese," just a couple who like each other in a place that suited them. We rotated through a couple of micro-locations within the spot, picking up different angles as the sun moved.
22 frames among the trees. They'll be back in a year for the wedding portraits and the forest will be exactly the same.
