Old-growth redwoods at The Forest of Nisene Marks block out most of the sun. We shot under filtered light through the canopy, where the air smells like duff and bay laurel and you can hear nothing but creek.
From there we made our way to Panther Beach. The Pacific from that perspective drops your jaw the first time you see it.
Pacing was the hard part. Each spot got its own window, the light moved with us, and the drives between gave the couple time to reset and relax before the next backdrop.
Under three-hundred-foot trees, even a proposal feels small. That's part of why redwood shoots work: the scale puts the moment in perspective.

Here’s a few highlights from this shoot. Most photographers only ever show a static portfolio of their very best images. I think every potential client should see more than that: the full shoots themselves. Nothing sets expectations like seeing multiple sessions at one location in different weather, times of day, and seasons. We get amazing photos no matter what, and we’re not afraid to show you.
