How it went
Soberanes Trail sits on cliffs that drop hundreds of feet straight into the Pacific. We worked in golden-hour light, when it wraps the rocks and the marine layer thins out at the horizon.
Then we drove to Garrapata Beach for the cliff-edge angles: sharper light, wider horizons, the kind of frame that makes the surrounding coast look bigger.
A half-day, in pieces. We worked each location for thirty to forty minutes, then moved on. Different light, different backdrops, but the same loose direction throughout.
The view does most of the work. The couple does the rest. 94 frames of one quiet hour at the edge of the Pacific.
