Palace of Fine Arts has the kind of architecture that does most of the work for you. We shot at the magic hour when the building's shadows stretch long and the foot traffic thins out.

We took our time. The plan said two hours but we used about an hour and a half, enough to cover the spot from a few different angles without anything feeling rushed.

Urban engagements feel different from coastal ones. Less about the landscape, more about the two people moving through it.
