Natural Bridges sits on cliffs that drop hundreds of feet straight into the Pacific. We worked in the last hour of sun, when the light wraps the rocks and the marine layer thins out at the horizon.
From there we drove down to Capitola Beach for the back end of the day, when the sand catches pink and the marine layer comes in to flatten everything.
A half-day, in pieces. We worked each location for thirty to forty minutes, then moved on. Different light, different backdrops, but the same loose direction throughout.
Big drop, big wind, one small question. That ratio is why cliff proposals hold up.

Here’s a few highlights from this shoot. Most photographers only ever show a static portfolio of their very best images.
