How it went
Capitola Beach is the kind of beach that doesn't fill up. We shot at the back end of the day, when the sand goes pink and the marine layer pulls in to soften everything.
Most of what looks like "posing" was actually just walking, talking, and pausing when the light hit right. We work this way on every shoot; the couple barely notices the camera by the second pass.
Twelve months from now they'll point to one of these 53 frames and say "that's the one we put on the save-the-dates."
