There's a moment at Baker Beach just before the sun drops where the sky and the sand go the same color. We made sure to be there for that.
Next was Sutro Baths, a different beach with a different texture. Same sun, totally different feel.
After that we drove south to Lands End, where the cliffs give way to a bigger sky: wide open, longer focal lengths.
We finished at Legion of Honor for the architecture: clean lines, long shadows, a contrasting look from the natural-light stops.
Two-plus hours of slow walking, quiet direction, and a couple drives between spots. Each location added a different look to the gallery (coast, cliff, ridge, trees) without the day ever feeling rushed.
Twelve months from now they'll point to one of these 144 photos and say "that's the one we put on the save-the-dates."
See each spot in depth.
Here’s a few highlights from this shoot. Most photographers only ever show a static portfolio of their very best images. I think every potential client should see more than that: the full shoots themselves. Nothing sets expectations like seeing multiple sessions at one location in different weather, times of day, and seasons. We get amazing photos no matter what, and we’re not afraid to show you.
