We met at Baker Beach an hour before sunset. The tide was right, the light was right, the beach was empty enough to feel private.
Then we made our way to Batteries to Bluffs Trail for the beach light: softer color, broader sand, the sun working with the wet sand at the tide line.
We took the long route. Two-plus hours including driving, the kind of shoot where every location adds another color to the gallery.
Twelve months from now they'll point to one of these 56 photos and say "that's the one we put on the save-the-dates."
