How it went
Alila Ventana Big Sur sits on cliffs that drop hundreds of feet straight into the Pacific. We worked in golden-hour light, when it wraps the rocks and the marine layer thins out at the horizon.
Direction was minimal. A few prompts, a few suggestions for where to look or what to do with hands, then we got out of the way and let it happen. The best frames came from in-between moments.
There's something about cliffs that makes a proposal stick. The wind, the height, the silence between waves. They'll remember the texture of the day long after the photos settle into a frame on the wall.
