On the ridge at Golden Gate Overlook the light is exposed. No tree cover, just direct sun and a long horizon line. We worked the last forty minutes before sunset.
We finished at Legion of Honor for the architecture: clean lines, long shadows, a contrasting frame from the natural-light stops.
Then we made our way to Baker Beach for the beach light: softer color, broader sand, the sun working with the wet sand at the tide line.
A half-day, in pieces. We worked each location for thirty to forty minutes, then moved on. Different light, different backdrops, but the same loose direction throughout.
The kind of session you remember as much for the walk as for the photos. 156 frames from the high points.
