How it went
Urban light at Legion of Honor is all about timing. We worked the late-day windows when the sun catches one side of a facade and leaves the other in deep shade.
Two hours of slow walking and quiet direction. No awkward poses, no "say cheese," just a couple who like each other in a place that suited them. We rotated through a couple of micro-locations within the spot, picking up different angles as the sun moved.
Final delivery: 15 retouched photos. First selects within a day, the rest within seven. One of many recent shoots in San Francisco.
